LOS ANGELES — The last surviving original member of the rock band Steely Dan has sued the estate of a recently deceased member for failing to honor an agreement to allow the band to buy the estate’s shares.
At the time of the band’s incorporation in 1972, a buy/sell agreement was executed by the five members, allowing the corporation to buy back at book value a member’s shares once they die.
