Former U.S. attorney pleads guilty to trying to sell whistleblower documents
Former U.S. Department of Justice attorney Jeffrey Wertkin has pleaded guilty to two counts of obstruction of justice and one count of transportation of stolen property in San Francisco federal court.

On multiple occasions Jeffrey Wertkin, who is based in Washington, D.C., attempted to sell documents obtained by the government to companies that were the subject of whistleblower complaints.
