Roberts reports decrease in 2017 judicial activity, sexual harassment task force

In a report that touched on the federal judiciary’s response to natural disasters and the allegations of sexual harassment that reached the courts, most notably against former 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Alex Kozinski, U.S. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. reported that the federal courts experienced an overall decline in activity in 2017.

In a year-end report that touched on the federal judiciary’s response to natural disasters and the nationwide avalanche of allegations of sexual harassment that reached the courts, mostly notably against former 9th Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski, U.S. Chief Justice John G.
