Why won't Trump pick US attorneys?

The fate of Nicola Hanna, the new interim U.S. Attorney for the Central District, and California’s other new federal prosecutor remains unclear because the Trump administration has not officially nominated them.

The White House appears to be delaying nominations for U.S. attorneys in California, even as the Department of Justice appoints them.

The DOJ and Sen. Dianne Feinstein confirmed that they approved of Nicola Hanna as the U.S. attorney nominee for the Central District after months of interviews and vetting. But a DOJ official and a spokesperson for Feinstein were unable to explain why the White House has not officially nominated him. ...
