Apartment project near Beverly Hills exempt from CEQA, judge rules

A judge ruled that a mixed-use project near Beverly Hills is exempt from a state statute requiring it to identify and mitigate its environmental impacts, despite several petitioners’ claims.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled that a 145-unit, mixed-use project near Beverly Hills is exempt from a state environmental statute, despite several petitioners’ claims that its proximity to defunct oil wells were overlooked or ignored when it was given its exemption.
