LOS ANGELES — George S. Cardona, an institutional figure in the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles, is leaving.
The office confirmed Thursday that Cardona would step down as chief of the major frauds section, which he has led since 2015. The office did not immediately say who would replace him.
