State Senate bill would block ICE agents from buildings
Benjamin Ebbink, of counsel at Fisher & Phillips LLP in Sacramento, said SB 183 more directly targeted federal immigration agents than previous immigration legislation enacted by the state Legislature.

The state Senate passed a bill prohibiting federal immigration authorities from entering some public buildings without a warrant in certain circumstances, opening a potential new front in the battle between state and federal authorities over immigration enforcement in California.
