Government tries to speed faster to finish line in DACA appeal
In a recent filing in the appeal over U.S. District Judge William Alsup’s injunction preventing the government from dismantling the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, government lawyers have requested an expedited briefing schedule, a course on which the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals set the case by its own volition in January.
The Department of Justice wants the U.S. Supreme Court to review DACA, and it wants the justices to do so quickly.
