Orange County to join federal lawsuit over California immigration laws
The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to join the U.S. Department of Justice’s lawsuit against California over state immigration laws, part of a growing backlash in the county against so-called sanctuary cities.
SANTA ANA -- The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to join the U.S. Department of Justice's lawsuit against California over state immigration laws, part of a growing backlash in the county against so-called sanctuary cities.
Supervisors also Tuesday adopted a resolution against the California Values Act, the state law enacted through Senate Bill 54 that prohibits using state resources to enforce immigration laws.
