The U.S. Department of Justice charged several suspected members of a migrant caravan from Central America with criminal infractions for unlawfully entering the U.S.

The charges were filed after Attorney General Jeff Sessions released a memo last month instructing U.S. attorneys to increasingly bring criminal charges in illegal entry and reentry cases.
