Attorneys for an Italian woman killed on her honeymoon by a car that sped through bollards on the Venice boardwalk have reached a $12 million settlement with the city of Los Angeles, which had claimed it was not liable under the state's "trail immunity" law.
The settlement, which also pays $2 million to three plaintiffs injured in the incident, was approved by the Los Angeles City Council Tuesday.
