Bond amounts in immigration courts are increasing in some parts of the nation, according to a recent report.

The report -- by Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, or TRAC, -- found that nationally, for bond hearings thus far during fiscal 2018, the median bond amount was $7,500, a 50 percent increase from the $5,000 five years ago.
