Judge extends FEMA housing for Puerto Rican hurricane victims

A federal judge has ordered FEMA to house victims of Hurricane Maria until the end of the month.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency was ordered once again by a federal judge to extend its Transitional Sheltering Assistance program for survivors of Hurricane Maria -- this time until Aug. 31.

Last week, U.S. District Judge Timothy S. Hillman extended his previously issued temporary restraining order, mandating that FEMA shelter the Puerto Rican evacuees at least until the end of the month. Hillman will issue a formal ruling...
