A powerful state lawmaker recently sent a letter to the State Bar raising concerns about how the agency is handling its law school accreditation work.
Assemblyman Mark Stone, chair of his chamber’s Judiciary Committee, wrote he is particularly worried about the potential antitrust implications of law school deans at state-accredited schools playing too large a role in regulating their institutions.
