The family of baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn settled their wrongful death lawsuit against the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company on confidential terms.
The deal, announced Friday, resolves the legal action claiming the former San Diego Padres star had been manipulated into using smokeless tobacco, resulting in an addiction that ultimately led to his death.
