Streaming company agrees to permanent injunction sought by entertainment companies

Streaming device manufacturer TickBox agreed to a $25 million stipulated judgment and a permanent injunction Tuesday, removing access to pirated content after a legal battle with many of Hollywood’s major studios.

Streaming device manufacturer TickBox agreed to a $25 million stipulated judgment and a permanent injunction Tuesday, removing access to pirated content after a legal battle with major Hollywood studios.

Universal, Disney, Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount, Warner Bros., Amazon and Netflix sued TickBox TV LLC in October 2017, alleging the Georgia-based company provided illegal access to copyrighted content.
