NCAA official asked why coaches, not players, are rewarded for good grades

The National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I Vice President of Governance Kevin Lennon was pressed on apparent inconsistencies in compensation benefits Friday during testimony in the landmark antitrust trial which may lead to student-athletes getting a bigger stake in the multi-billion dollar industry.

OAKLAND -- A college athletics executive on Friday pushed back on the allegation there are inconsistencies in compensation benefits between coaches and players.

Kevin Lennon, the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I Vice President of Governance, testified in a landmark antitrust trial that may lead to student-athletes receiving a bigger stake of the multi-billion dollar industry.
