Judge certifies class in antitrust lawsuit against Qualcomm

The number of cellphone buyers included in the class could hit 250 million under U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh’s order.

Citing the plaintiffs' "considerable, compelling common proof," a U.S. judge certified a class in a cellphone antitrust lawsuit against Qualcomm Inc. that's estimated to be as large as 250 million people, with damages argued at nearly $5 billion.
