Federal corruption prosecutions drop sharply in 2018
Federal prosecutions for official corruption have seen a precipitous drop in the past fiscal year, according to a study done by Syracuse University on U.S. Department of Justice Department data.
Federal prosecutions for official corruption have dropped dramatically in the past fiscal year, according to a study done by Syracuse University on U.S. Department of Justice Department data.
In the first 11 months of fiscal year 2018, the government reported 340 new corruption prosecutions, on track for a projected 371 in the full year. That would be a drop of 23.5 percent from last year's 485.
