State issues largest-ever wage theft citation

A City of Industry-based construction company has been fined $12 million by the state for wage theft, the largest of its kind in California history.

A Los Angeles County construction company has been fined $12 million by the state for wage theft, the largest of its kind in California history.

The Labor Commissioner's Office announced that RDV Construction in the City of Industry hired crews for framing, drywall, and other trade work over a 21-month period and issued paychecks that bounced. Afterward, the company failed to compensate the more than 1,000 workers in full.
