How would you answer these questions?

Like many teachers, I regularly tell my students there are no “stupid” questions; yet like many of my peers, I am not always sure how to answer. Here are a few examples of conversations that have flummoxed me.

Like many teachers, I regularly tell my students there are no "stupid" questions; yet like many of my peers, I am not always sure how to answer. Here are a few examples of conversations that have flummoxed me. I swear these accounts are true. I also should add that I am not mocking those who trust me to help them. It is the opposite. It is difficult to figure out how to respond with the same earnest attitude they have expressed through their bewilderment about life.
