States are lining up to challenge SAFE vehicle rules
The Trump administration is intent on rolling back those promises. On March 30, NHTSA and EPA released their “final” version of the Safer Affordable Fuel Efficient, aka SAFE, vehicle rules. The SAFE rules will become final 60 days after publication in the Federal Register. At that point, the rules will be “final agency action” and subject to judicial review.
