Ransomware attacks leave companies with a Catch-22 decision

Ransomware attacks are carried out by cyber criminals who hack a company’s computer systems and encrypt or otherwise block access to data. The perpetrators demand payments, often in cryptocurrency, in exchange for decrypting the information so that victims can access their data.
