Prisoner says guards try to prevent suicide by not letting him sleep

Prisoners in these units are subject to welfare checks every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, involving a beep and a metal-on-metal sound next to the cells, Kate M. Falkenstien of Reichman Jorgensen LLP said in her complaint for intervention in a long-running inmates’ rights case.

An attorney for a prisoner claiming guards are trying to prevent him from suicide by not letting him sleep has moved to intervene in a long-running inmate rights case.
