Governor grants 145 pardons, reprieves and clemencies so far

The actions involved people convicted of crimes ranging from murder to marijuana possession. Some orders were given to keep the inmates from being deported or contracting COVID-19 in prison.

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced another round of executive clemencies on Tuesday, for people convicted of crimes ranging from murder to marijuana possession. Some of the orders were given either to keep the inmates from being deported or from contracting COVID-19 in prison.
