Parents who saw child abused on video have bystander distress claim

The couple said they watched by cell phone from another location as a nurse repeatedly hit their 2-year-old son.

An appellate court has found two parents can sue health care providers after watching a nurse abuse their disabled son by nanny cam. The case could open a potential new avenue of liability for many types of companies.
