State Bar threatened with lawsuit over facial recognition technology

The technology is used as an anti-cheating device but some say it is disproportionally inaccurate in identifying people with darker skin and women.

A group of bar applicants told the State Bar on Wednesday to get rid of facial recognition technology that is used to prevent cheating during the bar exam's online administration or face a lawsuit.
