Eavesdropping Siri claim of harm is speculative, US judge rules

Consumers have lodged similar complaints against Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa over the devices listening in on them without being triggered. The federal judge noted that California courts have not recognized such a privacy interest in communications.

A federal judge in Oakland dismissed a class action against Apple over allegations that its voice-activated feature Siri eavesdrops on users without consent, finding that plaintiffs alleged "overly speculative" harm.
