Social media, cancel culture and the First Amendment

The great deplatforming of January 2021 will likely be remembered as the turning point in the battle for control over digital speech. Within days of the attack on the Capitol, former President Donald Trump was banned or suspended by Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and YouTube.
