Judge says JAMS’ amicus brief doesn’t prove arbitrator bias
JAMS wanted the U,S. Supreme Court to settle a dispute over professional disclosure rules and, according to U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner of the Central District, did not take a position on the merits of the beverage company’s case.




A federal judge rejected an assertion that the entire roster of JAMS' arbitrators could be biased because the company filed an amicus curiae brief supporting a request for the U.S. Supreme Court to hear a dispute involving Monster Energy Co. and a distributor. JAMS wanted the justices to settle a dispute over professional disclosure rules and did not take a position on the merits of the beverage company's case.
