Environmentalists sue state over oil and gas lease approvals
Attorneys for the plaintiffs argued a state agency often approves permits with little or no review, uses “inapplicable” exceptions to the California Environmental Quality Act, and relies on “inadequate or invalid environmental analyses performed by local governments.”
