Judge overseeing LA homeless case backs off on outside help

Judge David O. Carter of the Central District axed plans to enlist outside assistance from Social Justice Legal Foundation and Hueston Hennigan LLP in a homelessness rights case.

A federal judge overseeing a homelessness rights case in Los Angeles has backed away from a plan to enlist help from Hueston Hennigan LLP and the Social Justice Legal Foundation following an outcry from the parties who said the firm's involvement would present a conflict.
