Memo shows city knew its lawyer was working with opponent on unrelated suit
Beverly Hills attorney Paul Kiesel, who represented the city in a lawsuit which sought to blame consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers for the 2013 Los Angeles water over-billing fiasco — along with San Fernando Valley attorney Michael J. Libman, who formerly represented the ratepayer class in an overbilling suit — say they disclosed to city attorneys the fact they worked together as co-counsel in an unrelated slip and fall lawsuit.




While a Los Angeles County judge was not aware the city's outside counsel had a working relationship with opposing counsel in a utility overbilling suit, city attorneys did, a resurfaced memo appears to show.
