Bill to halt arbitration stalling unopposed

SB 762, approved by the state Senate Judiciary Committee, would require that when a plaintiff has met filing requirements, the arbitrator must provide an invoice with the full amount owed and the date it is due, and be sent to all parties by the same means on the same day.

Parties would have a harder time stalling arbitration proceedings under a bill the state Senate Judiciary Committee has passed.

SB 762, approved Tuesday evening, mandates prompt billing for costs and fees.
