Grand Princess passengers say companies are ‘inventing legal rule’

Attorneys for the defendant companies noted in their filings that the passengers signed waivers promising not to join a class action or seek redress anywhere except in federal court if they had a legal dispute.

Passengers suing a cruise line over the presence of COVID on their ship have told a court the defendant is "inventing a legal rule" to deny the proposed class a jury trial.
