Churches’ attorneys say more battles still ahead
Three days after the U.S. Supreme Court reversed a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision upholding California’s limits on religious meetings in homes in Tandon v. Newsom, California announced Monday it had lifted restrictions on in-person religious gatherings.




Attorneys at the center of the fight for religious liberty during the pandemic say while California's decision to heed the U.S. Supreme Court and lift restrictions on religious gatherings is a victory, masks, social distancing and perhaps vaccine passports will be the subject of legal battles to come.
