Freeway housing injunction could be reinstated in LA homeless case
Last June, the city and county struck a deal to provide 6,700 beds for those living near freeway ramps, overpasses and underpasses, with the county footing the bill. U.S. District Judge David O. Carter set a May 26 hearing to discuss progress.




A federal judge who ordered Los Angeles city and county to clear out skid row by October said Friday he might also renew an injunction on the municipalities if they have not made enough progress on providing beds to people living outside near freeways.
Last June, the city and county struck a deal to provide 6,700 beds for those living near freeway ramps, overpasses and underpasses, with the county footing the bill.
