Biden nominates Obama-era education civil rights chief for her old job
If Catherine Lhamon is confirmed by the U.S. Senate, she would be in a position to reinstate many of the Title IX policies on campus sexual assault and transgender students originally proposed by the Obama administration that were reversed during the Trump administration.





Catherine E. Lhamon may be getting her old job back as the head of U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights, where in her first go-round she advocated for changes in how universities must treat campus sexual assault and transgender students.
