County requires employers to check workers’ vaccine status

The county's health officer, Sara H. Cody, has given employers until next Tuesday to determine the vaccination status of employees, contractors or volunteers who will be working on site.

Employers are scrambling to determine how to follow a first-in-the-nation directive in Santa Clara County requiring all companies and government entities to determine the COVID-19 vaccination status of their workers.

The county's health officer, Sara H. Cody, has given employers until next Tuesday to determine the vaccination status of employees, contractors or volunteers who will be working on site.
