9th Circuit’s ‘always believe the asylum claimant’ rule overturned
Justice Neil Gorsuch’s opinion rejected the use of a “special rule in immigration disputes” by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that he concluded “appears to be an outlier.”




The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously overturned on Tuesday a long-standing 9th Circuit court rule that testimony from an immigrant fighting to stay in the country is presumed to be credible.
