Tenants’ lawyers say delays in rent aid could mean more eviction cases

A burdensome application process is causing delays and people are still waiting for money, some attorneys say.

Tenants’ attorneys say bureaucratic delays are delaying billions of dollars in promised rental assistance, which could result in a crush of unlawful detainer cases being filed.
