Fall 2022 trial date in Facebook case illustrates backlog
U.S. District Judge James Donato moved the trial, which was supposed to start in December, to next September at the earliest. He cited a post pandemic backlog of mostly criminal cases that have priority.





Citing a backlog of cases, a federal judge in San Francisco on Thursday pushed into next year a trial and arguments on class certification in a case alleging Facebook overstated the number of people advertisers could reach with its ads.
