Immigration court should have relied on woman’s torture claim, 9th Circuit says

The decision culminates a three-year legal saga, in which Delfina Soto Soto spent more than two years in an immigration detention center, her attorneys said.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed an immigration ruling on Friday and allowed a refugee from Mexico, who said she had been tortured, to be freed from detention.
