San Francisco school historic murals saved for now

Superior Court Judge Anne-Christine Massullo ruled the school board “ignored CEQA in pursuit of a predetermined result” and ordered members to set aside their 2019 decision while doing a new environmental impact report.

The San Francisco school board violated the California Environmental Quality Act when it voted to cover up historic murals at George Washington High School before conducting studies required by the law, a judge ruled Tuesday.
