Nolan Heimann wins defamation lawsuit for funk musician

The case centered around 20 statements George Clinton made in his 2014 autobiography, “Brothas Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard On You?” Clinton wrote that a producer tried to copyright his works.

The funk musician George Clinton did not commit defamation when he wrote in a 2014 autobiography that his record producer tried to steal his copyrights and altered documents to cheat him of royalties, a Los Angeles County jury decided Wednesday.
