San Diego County to repay half of restaurant permit fees from shutdown

The county was sued by a restaurant group in January, seeking the return of operational fees paid during the months they were ordered to remain closed under COVID-19 mandates.

San Diego County notified restaurants on Friday of $4.5 million in permit fee refunds they are to receive as a result of the proposed settlement of a class action brought by a restaurant group.
