Haitian cannot end deportation with ‘credible fear’ claim, circuit rules
Congress has provided expedited review for certain noncitizens if the asylum officers determine an applicant does not have a credible fear of persecution, the ruling stated




Citing a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Monday denied a Haitian man's appeal of an immigration judge's determination that he did not qualify as having credible fear about returning home.
