Delta Air Lines plans surcharge on unvaccinated workers, but no mandate

“What they’re saying is, this costs us a lot of money when you don’t get vaccinated, and we don’t want to pay for all that. But it’s still your choice whether or not to be vaccinated,” said Kelly O. Scott, a partner at Ervin Cohen & Jessup LLP.

As companies announce vaccination mandates for their employees, Delta Air Lines revealed Wednesday another approach to increase its workplace vaccination rate: a $200 monthly health care surcharge for unvaccinated staff.
