Newsom signs bills on arbitrations, juvenile crime, warehouse workers
SB 762 requires arbitrators to provide invoices that clearly lay out costs, fees and due dates. In a news release late Wednesday, he said the new law will prevent employers and vendors from stalling arbitration proceedings.




A state senator and assemblywoman have fought for years to protect workers from mandatory arbitration agreements. As each nears the end of their time in office, these veteran lawyer-legislators may finally claim victories, barring appeals.
