LA city councilman, USC former dean indicted on corruption charges
Mark Ridley-Thomas, 66, allegedly conspired with Marilyn Louise Flynn, 83, who was a dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Southern California, for a relative to be admitted to the graduate school and receive a full-tuition scholarship and a paid professorship, the Department of Justice announced. In return, it said, Ridley-Thomas agreed to support lucrative government contracts with the university, according to the charges.
